Webconferences
One of the main operational goals of TwinBasin project is to develop exchanges opportunities between basin organisation managers or executives and scientists. Events will be organised throughout the 4 years of the project, during the INBO meetings or via periodic web seminars (one per month).
The webconference will be organised in a regular basis to disseminate knowledge and know-how on a peer-to-peer basis. The staff members involved in mobility for example have to present a monograph on the central topic of the exchange and to complete it with the live presentation.
A webconference duration is around 1,5 hour with a presentation of a key expert, or staff member of mobility, with Powerpoint visual support, followed by interactive discussion.
To participate it is essential to have a headphone and a microphone.
The conferences could be recorded and the key points will be transcribed in a webconference report and disposable on the section ”Results”.
The webconference is opened to the MoU signatories and the Cluster.
It is necessary to be registered to the webconference. Without registration you cannot participate.

Speaker: Arnaud
COURTECUISSE, Agence de l'Eau Artois -
Picardie
description:
The content of the
twinning cooperation between Agence de
l’Eau Artois-Picardie (France) and two
Basin Organisations: Banat River Basin
(Romania) and East Aegean River Basin
(Bulgaria) is focusing on the WFD’s
implementation and its economic aspects.
The WFD gives an important and quiet new
role to economic activities:
Economic analysis is required as a
tool helping for the identification
of the main economic uses of water,
to assess the impact of the
forecasted trends for the different
water uses (Baseline scenario), to
select the most cost-effective
measures for achieving the
environmental objectives set by the
Directive, to identify and discuss
of potential disproportionate costs
which can lead to target the
objectives with extended delay or to
set less stringent objectives for
specific water bodies
-
Economic instruments can be included
in the programme of measures,
particularly through the
cost-recovery analysis which is the
support of an incentive pricing
policy that should be implemented by
2010 (article 9)
